DO NOT KNOCK REGISTRY

The Village Board of Trustees recently adopted a “Do Not Knock” Registry. The registry is similar to the “Do Not Call” list and prohibits solicitors from visiting any home listed on the registry. If you would like your address included in the registry, please fill out the attached form. Keep the form and “Do Not Knock” sign, and return the application to Village Hall.

BOARD AND COMMITTEE MEETINGS DATE AND TIME

Village of Machesney Park Board of Trustees now meets on the first and third Mondays of each month. If a legal holiday occurs on a Monday when a Board Meeting is scheduled, the meeting will be held on Tuesday the day after the holiday.

Administration and Finance Committee Meeting 1st and 3rd Mondays at 5:45 p.m.

Board Meeting 1st and 3rd Mondays at 6:00 p.m.

Other Committee Dates and Times

Planning and Economic Development Committee - First Monday at 5:30 p.m.

Public Improvements and Safety Committee - Third Monday at 5:30 p.m.

Planning and Zoning Commission will meet Fourth Monday at 6:00 p.m.

VILLAGE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN INFORMATION

A new Village Comprehensive Plan has been developed and approved by the Village Board to protect and enhance the character of the residential neighborhoods and guide the revitalization and improvement of the Village's commercial areas. The new plan was needed to build community consensus in order to help integrate land use, zoning, transportation, housing, environmental, economic development and public facility policies of the community as it continues to grow and see new investment.

A copy of the approved Comprehensive Plan can be viewed in the office of the Village Clerk, Lori Mitchell.
